Slowly Recovering

Hello Everyone! Well... I never do anything the easy way. I had surgery almost 3 weeks ago. The surgery went great but then I had a setback. I was in the hospital for almost two weeks. I am happy to say I am home and doing so much better. Each day, I get a little stronger. Today I started a scrapbook page so I know I am on the way to recovery!

The one happy thing about being sick is all the cards that I have been receiving! Every day I get at least a card or two. I am blown away by all the beautiful cards I have received from all my friends. I took a photo to share with all of you! I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends and CTMH sisters. You will never know how much I appreciate all of you!

I Love Belgium

Last year I was lucky enough to earn a cruise to the Med with Close To My Heart. We flew to Europe early and visited London, Spain, Belgium, and France. Then we jumped on the cruise ship for another week of travel. Crazy huh? Anyway, one of the highlights of the trip was our day trip to Belgium. I just finished scrapbooking several pages from that glorious day. I still have a few more pages to go but I thought I would share what I have to date. Enjoy!

Daydream Workshop On The Go- Tina's Way

I just finished thr Daydream Workshop On The Go! I love this kit but I don't really have any birthday photos to go on it... so I put the Tina Spin on it! I thought my bike would look great on these papers so I altered the layout, and substituted hearts for cupcakes. I hope you like it. If you are in the Navarre, or surrounding areas and would like to attend this workshop, it will be held on April 15th and 16th!

Tina
I added sparkles to the Stickease! I thought this made the pages bling a little!

Since my layout was centered around hearts, I added the small stamped heart to the tag!
For the border, I added dimensional hearts rather than cupcakes. I used the Pearl Paint to add the dot accents on the scallop border.

The thing I like about Workshop On The Go is that you can customize them to your life. Don't be afraid to change the pages to work with your photos.

Butterfly Wings

I designed a card last night that we will be creating at scrapbook club today! I used this month's stamp of the month ... Butterfly wings. The butterfly is stamped using CTMH's exclusive Juniper and Tulip Inks. I created the colors on the butterfly by sponging some ink on our finger daubers and then applying it directly to the butterfly stamp. Then I rolled the edges of the butterfly wings in Tulip ink and stamped it. Whola... I have a multicolored butterfly that is sparkling with Prisma Glitter. The glitter really makes this card come alive. In addition to highlighting the beautiful butterfly using mulit-colors, my butterfly also moves. It is a swaying card. Click here for directions on swaying cards.

Card Recipe:
Stamp Sets-
D1341 Butterfly Wings
D1265 Gracious Greetings
x7100b Paper Garden (Paper- Polka Dot B&T, Cocoa, Juniper and Tulip CS)
z2165 Juniper Ink
z2166 Tulip Ink
z134 Prisma Glitter
z553 Bonding Memories Glue Pen (small)
z726 Sponge Daubers

This card was inspired by Tesa Black! Thank you Tesa for sharing all of your creativity!

Things that make me smile!

One of my very favorite things (other than my CTMH stamps) is my pink heart bike. Kent bought it for me a year and a half ago for my birthday and I love it.

I am fortunate enough to be spending the weekend in Seaside, Florida. Today, I woke up and I rode my bike 13 miles. WOOOHOO ME! I have never had a bike that has made me so happy and that has made me WANT TO RIDE!

At the end of the ride, I cycled to the beach and snapped a few photos. I just had to share. Hope everyone's weekend has been as grand as mine!

Creative Hugs,

Tina

Scrapbooking Emergency!

Wow... I have been busy. Last weekend, I worked a 3 day crop in Alabama. Upon returning home from the crop, I found out my Dad was in the hospital. I packed up the dogs, (and Kent) and went to Pensacola for a few days to stay with my Mom. Dad was released from the hopital is doing well. But, when I got home and back to the office, I had work piled up to my eyeballs. I was so stressed out. Then I said... "I know what I need" and I called my dear friend Debbie. I told her it was a SCRAPBOOKING EMERGENCY! She rushed over and we spent the day in Tina's Stamp Pad, scrapbooking! It felt so good. I worked on photos from my day in Belgium. I finished 6 pages yesterday. WOOHOOO! I hope you enjoy them! I used one of my all time favorite paper packets...Emporium! Love it, love it, love it!

What a difference a highlight makes!

What a difference a highlight makes? I am posting this silly photo because a dear friend "DARED" me!

I always speak the truth and that goes for hair highlighting. When your hair is dark and the roots are showing, you feel awful. Add a little bottle blonde and you feel like a new woman!

I leave tomorrow for a crop in Huntsville Alabama. I am so excited as it is going to be fun, fun, fun. If you are in the area, look me up. If you want more info about the show go to www.cropindivas.com! Hope to see you this weekend!

It's almost Valentines Day... and my cards are made! They are SWAYING CARDS!

I have been MIA! I had a 3 day crop from January 29- 31st and as soon as it was over, I got very sick. I finally went to the doctor yestereday and found out I had walking phonomenia! YUK! I have orders to stay home and rest so I can get well. It has been 2 weeks and I am going stir crazy. I couldn't stand it any longer, so I went to into the Stamp Pad and started creating Valentines Day Cards! I thought they turned out cute so I wanted to share them with you!

The cards shown above are swaying cards. The heart actually moves back and forth. The swaying cards are very fun to make and everyone enjoys receiving them. I would love to share the directions with you!

The recipe for the cards are:

X7107b That's Amore Paper Packet
D1343 Love Language Stamp Set
Inks: Tulip, Blush, Garden Green and Crystal Blue (each card is slightly different)
Glitter (blue bird)
Sparkles (bird feathers)
Pop Dots (circle) We currently carry foam squares. I used my old 3 D Pop Dots. Foam Squares should work too!
Penny

Step by step Directions:

1. Cut a circle in the middle of your card using the Coluzzle Cutting System.
2. Cut a strip of paper, the same color as the base of the inside of your card 1" x 5 1/2". Fold it in half and place a penny on the folded side.

3. Use a glue dot to secure the other end of the strip. Attach two Pop Dots on the outside of the strip!

4. Put the pop dots through the hole of the card and attach the heart. WHOOOHOOO... now your heart moves from side to side.

Simple, cute and fun!

Unforgettable

This board was made by my buddy... Chris Szczechowski, aka. Scuba Stamper! I love her artwork. Last summer, we went to Hawaii with her and her hubby Charlie! I had to use photos from our trip! Chris is the queen of accessories and techniques. I know you will enjoy her work!

I love this page because I love Dolphins. The dolphin that I am holding is a movie star. He appeared in the move... 50 First Dates. Check out his smile. It is a smile of a movie star!

Can I say... BLING! I love the way Chris used sparkles to enhance this card. It is spectacular in person!

I love our new frames. She was very creative in her use of the embellishments on this card. I just love it.

That is all of my display boards for this catalog. My display board was Emporium and it is featured on a blog earlier this month. I hope you enjoyed the boards as much as I have. Thanks for looking...

Tina

Daydream

This board is just plain fun. Heather Hicks is the creator... and she did a great job. Enjoy her work!

When I saw this layout, I immediately thought of Faith. The photos are from her birthday party last year. It screams... "TUDE". ( short for attitude)

Let your Light Shine... what a pretty card. I like the way she used the liquid glass to enhance the word shine. Also, she was very creative using the dimensional element. LOVE IT

This would make a great Valentines Card for your special man!

This is a cute box made out of the Creative Cube. Cindy Baker, my third upline made it. It is used to hold cupcake sprinkles. This box screams FUN!

That's Amore'

This wonderful display board was done by Amanda DeJardin. Amanda is one of the most creative people I know and I am so excited that she is in our swap! Enjoy her artwork!

I love this layout. I used it for photos taken in Europe!

This is a beautiful 6" x 6" card. I love the way she used the ric rac and the straight pins.

I think this is my favorite card. It is classic!

Stardust

I participate in a board swap with some AMAZING artists that are on my team. We do this quarterly, each time a new catalog is released. I wanted to share some of their amazing artwork. The first kit is called Stardust and is done by my dear friend and downline Barb Carrico. Her work is amazing.

This is a 2 page layout titled Dream Big. I addedmy own photos from Awards night at convention last year.

This is a cute birthday card that she made. I love it!

Reach for the stars is an AMAZING card. The photo does not do it justice. I love the say she cut out the stars and put the brads in the center. And check our the distressing of the B&T paper. WOWSA!

I will be posting the other kits later this weekend!
