I love CLOSE TO MY HEART- Happy Snail Mail Day!

I have the coolest job in the world1111 I just checked my mailbox and was surprised to find a handmade card and gift in my mailbox from Close To My Hearts, CEO - Jeanette Lynton.  For those of you who do not know Jeanette, you are missing out!  Jeanette has the biggest heart in the world and the fact that she takes time to send handmade cards and gifts to the Directors in the company is AMAZING!  Not many companies do that anymore- especially in this day and age when budgets are so tight.  Oh one really cool thing about Close To My Heart- our company is 100% debt FREE!  Love it, love it, love it!!!

Anyway, I bet you are wondering what is in the package.   As they say... good things come in small packages! Inside the package was a beautiful heart, complete with bling!  But the biggest surprise of all, is that when you open it, you find a flash drive.  I am so excited.  It arrived just in time for my trip to Boston next week.  I am going to load it with Photos from France and work on Studio J layouts while I am traveling!

What a happy day.  I so love my business and the company I work for.  Jeanette- YOU ARE CLOSE TO MY HEART!!!!

Holiday Hugs,

Tina

Close To My Heart Team Holiday Party- Cookie Exchange

I am home from Paris, and yes, I know that I am behind on posting photos from the trip. I need to get the photos uploaded from my camera's to my computer. I promise I will do a slide show soon but the next week promises to be busy, busy, busy. I have an out of town wedding tomorrow and I will be working the Marketbasket in Pensacola next week. Some time in between I will get the slide show put together. I promise!

I am very excited that I scheduled my local team's annual Cookie Exchange. The date will be December 10th and the party will take place at my house. It is open to all of my team members. We will be exchanging cookies and recipes and making an album of our recipes.

I am very excited about the way our recipe book turned out. I used our new All-sorts album to make it. I think it screams C-U-T-E! I hope my blogging friends like it.

It feels so great to be creating again. 10 days without stamping or scrapbooking is way too long.

Happy Friday the 13th-

Tina

Check out last year's team holiday party!

Close To My Heart Opportunity

14 years ago, I decided to become a Close To My Heart Consultant. At the time, I was teaching Kindergarten during the day and going to graduate school at night. I was not a "direct sales" type of girl. I didn't have anything against direct sales, but I had a career that I was extremely happy with, I was a teacher. The reason I signed up to be a CTMH consultant to get a discount on my scrapbooking supplies! (That has worked REALLY well over the last 14 years). I didn't know it at the time, but becoming a consultant for this Close To My Heart was the best thing I could have EVER done! Close To My Heart has helped support our family during my husbands airline furlough, let me have a career while moving all over the United States, has allowed me to earn wonderful trips to places such as Hawaii, Alaska, New Zealand, The Mediterranean, and the Caribbean, has provided me an amazing income and helped me make the most wonderful friends EVER! Joining Close To My Heart was the best career decision I could have ever made... and I get an amazing discount on the best scrapbooking products ever!

Last night I had the privilege of helping my friend Kate start her CTMH career! Even though Kate is about 15 years younger than me, our lives parallel each other so much. She is married to a Navy Pilot, she is in graduate school and she LOVES scrapbooking. She had 15 people at her first gathering as a consultant. She ROCKED! Her sales were great, she booked two future gatherings, she is starting a workshop club and her guests had so MUCH fun. Her enthusiasm, wiliness to learn and love for scrapbooking will make her a great addition to the company and our Scattered Hearts Team! I am so excited and proud for her! Job well done Kate!

Close To My Heart is looking for more talented people to join the company. In fact, if you become a consultant in May, during National Scrapbooking Month, we will give you an exclusive scrapbooking kit ($34.95 value) for FREE. Click here for more information! I would love to have you on my team!

A gift from CTMH

Yesterday was such a happy day. I took the day off and went Christmas shopping with two of my very dear friends. When I got home, I was surprised to find a beautiful gift from CTMH in my mailbox. I am so lucky to work for a company who sends hand stamped Christmas Cards and gifts to their Directors. It blows me away that this company cares so much. How lucky am I to have this job?

I hope you enjoy the photo of the artwork and the bracelet. The photo does NOT do the bracelet justice. It is BEAUTIFUL!

I'm Home!

I am home from Europe. We saw 8 countries in TWO WEEKS! It was the BEST TRIP EVER and I can't believe I earned it for FREE! I thank God every day for bringing CTMH in my life.

My plan was to update my blog each day. I did great for the first two days. After we left London, it was hard to get Internet access in France. Once we left France, I was way too tired. We were getting up every day at 5 a.m and going until about 11 p.m. at night. Here was our itinerary:

Day 1 and 2 London
Day 3 Lille France
Day 4 Paris France
Day 5 Brugge Belgium
Day 6 Back to Paris to catch a plane to Barcelona. Then traveled to Vic Spain!
Day 7 Touring Spain- Perratallada Spain, Pals Spain, Besalu Spain and Rupit Spain
Day 8 Back to Barcelona to catch the cruise ship
Day 9 At Sea
Day 10 Malta
Day 11 Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri Italy
Day 12 Rome
Day 13 Florence and Pisa
Day 14 Villa France- Monte Carlo and Capri
Day 15 Travel Home

I could write a book on my adventure! As I said earlier, it was a trip of a lifetime!

The one thing I was not prepared for is the JET LAG! I am crashing each night at 8 and waking up at 2 a.m. I have done this for a week now. My mind won't turn off.

I thought I would share a few photos! Enjoy!

We're outta here! Destination- London England!

The day has ARRIVED! I am a few hours away from becoming an European Tourist! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. By tomorrow morning, I will be in London England... having tea with the queen. (Hey- you never know, stranger things have happened). From London, we will be traveling to Lille, France, Paris, Belgium, and finally Spain. I will catch the CTMH CROPPIN' boat in Barcelona. WOOHOO! I will try to post updates along the way so be sure to check here often!

In the photo, I am holding two luggage tags compliments of CTMH! Of course... I had to stamp them. Just thought I would share!

Ok, off to put the tags on my bag. SQUEAL! I'll update from EUROPE! (BIGGER SQUEAL)

Creatively and giddily yours,

Tina

Tina and Jeanette on Awards Night

What a fun surprise.! The Close To My Heart Office emailed me this photo of Jeanette and I on awards night at convention.  It was taken immediately after I had received my awards for the 2007 CTMH year.  Fun, Fun, Fun! I love this company- I can't believe I get paid to do what I do!
